Hi Steffi. My name is Bobby and I will be moving to the Seattle area in a few weeks. Since I have never been to Seattle it’s a little difficult knowing which area to be the best. I found a nice apartment in downtown right on Lenora st, so I’m looking into that one. I loved the West Edge apartments on 2nd ave, but the reviews are awful unfortunately, so that kinda turned me away. Seems like any apartments I’m looking at that is ran by greystar has negative comments about them and how they conduct business. I was also wondering if it’s difficult to make new friends in the Seattle area? I’d love to live in the capital hill area, but I found the apartments being a little higher prices than downtown. I love your videos. BUT--as an academic (maybe no longer teaching in academia, but fully immersed in academic thought and the kind of real-world style that I cherish about college towns, academic environments, etc.) --I actually go for neither. Give me mid-century modern all day all night, with interesting touches in unexpected places. ;)

❤ the twist on light academia. The bust lamp would look amazing on a mirror base instead of the wood base. I'm one of those people who just has to customize everything I have! 😊 I haven't seen any of this style before, its much gentler on the spirit.

I only think of academia if it's an office or library, but that's just me. I am also kinda missing the wallpaper all the images had going on. Definitely prefer dark, the light version has this grandma sheek to it.

I love dark but the dust/white dog fur situation is real 😅 It's nice to see more of the light style. It is really pretty. I never really thought of buying a separate headboard, that is a good tip. I've got a new house to decorate (well old house, new to me) so will need to go back through previous videos to help decide whether to lean dark or light this time!

My taste goes darker as well, but that opening photo is gorgeous - I would definitely do that as well.

I have to go with dark, cause I have a black and white cat and her (Fae) hair would hide more in the dark. Thank you for the ideas.

Light academia for me

I'm going to be moving soon and have the opportunity to have a different style for my bedroom I'm really leaning towards the light Academia it looks so pretty the way you had the mock-up

I love light academia…but I love dark academia that little bit more 😍. A two bedroomed flat with a bedroom done in each style so that I could sleep where my mood takes me would be lovely!

Studio apartment lives are not amazing. They are sad and inhuman. You just learn to cope somehow.

you like all the roller lines!, love the colour though.. undercoat prep, always use the deepest darkest grey tint in undercoat, it makes any colour pop, dont use white undercoat

I applaud you including everyone to embrace this style. Between this and whimsigoth I have a definite direction now. I have always been a boho type of person, now I can transition to these 2 styles. I have a lot of evil eye and celestial home decor from Etsy. I’m drawn to Turkish and Moroccan design, strange being a person of color. This was a wonderful way to start my day. Catching up with Your vids. I have found... Nothing can compete with....How YOU ARE! Others may "compliment" Your life... But: FIRST KNOW YOURSELF...BEFORE ( CHOOSING) TO SHARE....YOU. I closed a relationship because they attempted to .....Slowly " move-in " I liked her... but.. Not ..Her....STUFF. I Realize that may not be what you're going through... But... Definitely more of minimalist feel in My 400sqft Apt. I also LOVE ART! SO ...intentionally being surrounded by my idea of " beauty" works. My "esthetic"...is Minimalist/ industrial/farmhouse. I always wanted to live in an Art Gallery or showroom.. Trying to recreate that feeling. Btw, living alone: You put into words what I have always thought.

Definitely a difference between a dresser that hides in a "closet situation" as opposed to a dresser that U look at every day. Especially in a Studio.
